Considering myself as an IT professional after my graduation

Question: After graduation (1 month), can you consider yourself as an IT professional? and n what grounds?

I cannot yet consider myself as an IT professional in a sense that i need to have more experience in relation to my course but i can say that i am competitive and i am willing to learn.. i need first to have a training with regards to real IT world because working experience is different from the school experiences

Reasons why there's no standard examination in IT

Question: Establish the reason why there's no standardized exam for IT?

Answer: In my own point of view... First thing and foremost when we talk about IT it is broad and dynamic that it chnages depneding on the new technologies . Furthermore there are different specialty and specific fields when we talk about IT

Case 2 Pamalihog Situation

Case 2 – (Pamalihog lang pre!!! Situation)A coworker calls you at 9 A.M. at work and asks for a favor. He is having a little trouble getting going this morning and will be an hour or so late getting into work. He explains that he has already been late for work twice this month and a third time will cost him for hours pay. He asks you to stop by his cubicle, turn his computer on, and place some papers on the desk so that it looks like he is “in”. You have worked on some small projects with this co-worker and gone to lunch together. He seems nice enough and does his share of the work, but you are not sure what to tell him.

Questions:
1. What would you do? Why?

i will be honset and frank with him/her that i am going to do it it's because it's unethical and i am not into it...

2. Cite policies that deal with this kind of scenario. (You may use existing policies of particular organization as a reference.)
Activity 3 - Cases
Case 1 – Missing White House E-mail
Questions:
1. What is the White House records management process? What is the significance of the records management process?
Record Management Process int he process of transferring e-mails to the Executive Office of the President to computer systems in the White House. The significance of records Management process is to allot the text of the e-mails to be searched in response to subpoenas and other inquiries.
2. Daniel Barry discovered a problem with the record management process in January 1998, but didn’t determine the extent of the problem. What further actions might he have taken to correctly assess the situation while avoiding potential personal repercussions?
Daniel Barry reported to the supervisor thus they don't take action because they is is as minor but then even if it's minor they must take action and check the system and must not blamed it to the technician. It must be checked by the programmer of the system not only the programmer but to have a maintenance with their physical asset of the system.
3. What could Barry’s spervisor have done to identify the extent of the problems earlier? Why might he have failed to follow through on resolving the problem? Can you identify any reasons why there was a six-month delay from the time the problem was finally recognized until it was fixed?
1st and formost the supervisor must then check the reported error even if it's minor i think he failed to follow the resolving problem because of blaming and then not supervised well. It is six month delay from the time problem was recognized and fixed i think it is because of the long process of investigation and the rpoblem wasn't found easily and did not take action.
4. Considering the above case, how useful and crucial e-mails in the business environment?
It is crucial because nowadays more business are occuring spcifically in the e-business. Crucial interms of important documents like for instance paypal accounts, documents, certification, shipments, funding documents, codes and other important business factors that could be sent and in terms of usefulness it is the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to send and information especially when the business of organization have long distance location of areas.

2. Should an IT Professional either be licensed or certified? Why or why not?
In my own opinion IT Professional should be at least licensed or certified for them to be able to find job easily becuase some company hires IT professional with certification.. It would be much better to have certification just to level up the resume..

As IT graduating of College if possible i will take first the Civil service exam if ever i will be working in the government and then the A+ certification for abroad or other company that needs certificatio ..
